Subaru Outback recalled | CarExpert

Subaru Australia has recalled the 2021-22 Outback to repair an issue with the CVT inhibitor swap.

“As a consequence of a producing situation, the Repeatedly Variable Transmission (CVT) inhibitor swap will not be sealed sufficiently permitting moisture to enter doubtlessly inflicting corrosion of the circuit board,” the model says in its recall discover.

“Because of this, the reverse lamps might not illuminate and/or the rear-view digicam might not show the rear-view picture while reversing as supposed.

“If the reverse lamps and/or the rear-view digicam don’t function as supposed, it could affect the security of different visitors, or any individuals situated behind the automobile growing the chance of an accident-causing severe harm or loss of life to automobile occupants and/or different street customers.”

Subaru Australia will contact house owners of the affected autos to organise a free repair with their nearest seller.
